ABOUT US
Fun-Loving Folks with a Serious Mission.
The Bayou City Children's Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Houston, Texas. Through fun, fellowship, and community-focused fundraising events, we are committed to providing financial support to Shriners Children's, helping them deliver world-class pediatric specialty care to children and families in need, regardless of their ability to pay.
Our Purpose:
Our mission is to raise critical funds for Shriners Children's through energetic, community-focused events. This support ensures that children can receive world-class specialty medical care for complex conditions like orthopedic issues, severe burns, and cleft lip and palate, regardless of their family's ability to pay or insurance status
Our Promise:
As a chartered Shrine Hillbilly Clan, our constitution mandates that all net proceeds from our fundraising efforts are donated directly to Shriners Children's.
This isn't just a policy; it's a founding principle laid down by our creator, Jim Harris, to ensure every dollar we raise goes to the kids.
Fun & Fellowship:
We are the Bayou City Hillbillies, a "sideline degree" or club within the Shriners fraternity created for one simple reason: to have fun while raising money for children who need it most.
We celebrate a way of life rooted in community and good humor, joining over 175 other Hillbilly "Clans" (which just means family) across the country with a shared motto: "Having Fun and Helping Children".
